Allright,

I was a firm believer that injector cleaner was injector cleaner. Some brands were better than others, yatta, yatta, yatta. Last Monday I had stopped by Autorolla to chat with Hugh and Harv. During our discussion they had pointed out this stuff called Liqui Moly Jector. They had told me that this stuff is absoloutly incredible and that they have people calling them with in 10 min of using it saying how wonderfull this stuff works. Well me being the skeptic that I am, I had decided to buy some and try it out. I figure I would run it in my Sentra, that way in the event that this thing blows my motor it is not a big deal.

Now I had just finished pouring it into my tank and decided to take a drive home as I lived about 10 min away in heavy traffic. The first 5 min was going by and I had felt nor noticed anything. I was figuring ah.. just another injector cleaner that is supposed to be good. Well at around the 9 min mark, I had decided to rev it up and go through 1,2 and D. While I was doing this I felt something happening. I felt as if my car was beginning to transform into a beast. It would pull through the RPM's but there were some spots where there would be a sudden burst of power, then normal driving. So yes, it felt like it was hesitating compared to what I was used to driving. The more i drove it the more power I was feeling. By this time 10 min had passed. I figure I would take it down a quick rip down the freeway "just to see". So 15 min later, my car accelerated much quicker, my fuel milage has increased. (to give an acurate figure I can not as I was not doing my normal driving habits on this tank).

Now the question is would I reccomend this stuff? Well to give you an idea, I went back the next day and bought some for my Supra, same results, and bought 2 more cans. Again similar results. So yes, I reccomend buying this.

Now the Specs:

Liqui Moly Jector
300 ml Can
The can comes with a nossel that you screw on to the cap for easy pouring and no spills. Very inventive
Price non club price is around $11.00 I think. Club price is about $8.00. I do not have the bill in front of me

You do not need to pour into an empty tank and then fill for it to be effective. I poured mine into a full tank of fuel. It mixes perfectly with your fuel and the Jector will dissolve any deposits and residue on your injectors.

1 300ml bottle will treat an entire tank of fuel.

This stuff is avaliable at Autorolla.

Thanks for reading.

Sweet! After 17~18 years in my car I would think the injectors need cleaning. I wonder though if you would get the same or better results from having the injectors pulled, cleaned and flow tested.

Also, because I am a non-believer, is this feeling of power going to last or is a result of additives and will pass as soon as the tank is done?

Keep an eye on how your car feels on your next tank of gas & let us know.

Sounds god Earl,

My Sentra has 341,000 kms on it and the last time I ran some sort of injector cleaner was about 2 years ago. The results I had with the injector cleaner that I had bought previuosly were marginal. It did help the car with a little more power but not as much as this. I figured my car was about due for some injector cleaner. From what I can tell this would be an excellent soloution to pulling your injectors, having them clean and flow tested. Mind you it never hurts to have that done too. That way one can acurately assess the injector flow rate.

My next fill up should be near the end of this week or next week.

lol, ya yours have what 300kms on them barry?

i am considering it as my car isn't idling 100% smooth like it did last year, and i've had to resort to a couple questionable gas stations this last year. (normally just enough to get to my home gas station, lol).
i will have to stop by there some time.

Ok guys,

Here is the latest stats on the Liqui Moly Jector.

I filled up yesterday as I was on E on the Sentra. I drove down to Rimbey for a wedding and came back. I had logged 340kms and have used only 1/2 tank of fuel. Normall I will log about 220 to 260 kms on the first 1/2 tank of fuel on highway driving. Most of the driving was at 120 km/h and engine speed was about 3,800 RPM. I only have a 3 speed auto in that beast. :( The acceleration on the highway, and pick up was great! There was no hesitation and the response was very crisp!

I will need to go back to the car to find out what my fuel milage was on the last tank when I dumped it in on the fuel tank. I will also fill up again today and give L/100 kms used.

So it appears that with the price of regular at $0.905 per liter this stuff has just paid for its self.

In my books........this stuff is good!

Alright everyone,

I know you are all dying to find out my numbers so here they are. My mileage for the tank of fuel for when I poured in the Jectron was 393.5 kms on 35.635L or 9.055 L/100 kms. This was mostly city driving and a huge change in my driving habits. (mostly rapid accelerations where I will normally accelerate alot more slowly). The next tank I went 334.2 kms on 27.604L or 8.259 L/100 kms. This was all mostly highway driving at 120 km/h in heavy rain and head/side winds. As mentioned in the earlier post my RPM was around 3,800 for most of the trip.

In both instances I used 87 Octane Fuel and the brand of fuel was Esso.

Please keep in mind that one condition was highway driving and the other was city driving. However on a similar note, before I had run the Jector, I would average around 10.000 L/100 km on the highway at that speed and RPM.

Hope this helps.

yes 0-60 MPH or 0-100 KM/H super nice increase, i just bought a second can and its peppy still... but im not noticing much anymore... i still can't smoke the tires, but the car runs smooth and its starting better in the cold (im talking about a cold engine... one that hasent been started for 8 hours or so)... so maybe it was my cold start injectors that were giving me a lil bit of hassle

Hi Malaria,

Great to hear it works. The cans are not an octane booster, just an injector cleaner. When they are completely clean, you will not notice anymore increase in HP. Good to hear that it sounds like you have your problem beat!

I bought a can for myself after all of you recommended it. Great stuff! I noticed slightly better throttle response as well as smoother powerband. Not a miracle worker but definately good stuff.

Oh yeah baby! Taurus' kick ass!

The only other car that comes close to the greatness of the mighty Taurus might be a Supra. I hate my Taurus and can barely wait till I get rid of it. I need a daily that I'm not embarrased to drive.

Looks like I'll be picking up some of this stuff soon though. As soon as I can get a discount.;)
