Alright everyone,
Next Dyno pull I am going to be pulling some more numbers. I figured out today why my numbers were not as good as they should have been on Friday.
While I had decided that today was the day I was going to fix that continious anoying oil drip from my JBL SS braided oil feed and return line at the block, I had noticed a few important and overlooked issues.
Issue # 1) My spark plug galley and plugs were swimming in oil. Yes, Some of my spark plug wire boots were actually floating ontop of the plugs. I pulled these wiped away all the oil on the plug wires, and around the spark plugs. I soaked up alot of oil and then re attached them. My valve covers were leaking oil a while a go and I had recently retightened them. I did not realize that I had leaked enough oil into the plugs to to an entire oil change!
Issue # 2) I had a massive boost leak on my lower intercooler pipe. Where the turbo connects to the pipe it was not tightened. (I forgot to tighten it) There were gaps that would allow boost pressure to escape. Upon dissconnecting the lower intercooler hose, and then playing with that darn clip, I was finally able to get it to mate up and tighten it.
Now I have no more oil leaks, PS leaks. When I took the car on the first test drive the arse end had squatted down like she never had squatted before, the nose of the car started to point towards the sky. I was able to lay rubber in 1, 2 and 3. I took it on a quick test drive down the freeway and she accelerated like a bat out of hell and sounding similar to a jet engine.
It feels very satisfying to look under the car and see NO LEAKS!!!!! I am also picking up the Apex-I S AFCII on Friday to help squeeze a little more gumption out of her.
So in closing, Earl watch out! :D
