Hi Everyone,

It just hit me like a fast moving 2X4. There is a shop that seems to repair alot of supras on the South Side. I believe the shops name is SilverStone Automotive on 99th Street. I can drop by sometime on Monday and ask them if they would be interested in the Supra Club, or if we could put a flyer with some cards at their shop.

I know Harv and Hugh at Autorola want us to put something up in their shop and I believe Sun Toyota wants us to put something there too.

Spread the word guys.

Hi Andriy,

I have heard some good things and bad things about SilverStone. I had the opprotunity to tour his shop for almost an hour and have a good conversation with Raymond. I was most impressed with his shop and his knowledge of tuning. He did mention that inorder to tune properly it does cost alot of money to do as you need to make sure certain things are in order first. He mentioned that if you do not make sure your car is not running properly and have the necessary components in place that you could end up spending more money in the long haul in repairs. I think we should give him a shot as he could provide us with some good opprotunity for some increased knowledge about our cars, tuning and members too. But the nice thing about living in a democratic and free society we are able to choose whom we want to do business with.

i was cruising by there with my friend wheni notice a brown mk3 sitting outside so i was gonna ask if i could hit it up for parts when i go insdide and see hes working on a mk3, im like nice, then i look around and im like wow. 3 skylines with rb26det. a mk3 with 2jzgte and six speed. but unfortuantly i couldnt get parts from him. it would be a good place to advertise but Raymond the guy who owns it doesnt seem like the type who would let the supra club do that.

Hi Hurricanehyshka,

Yes, visiting Ray's shop blew my mind too! I had a good chat with him on Monday and he is very keen on the new Supra club. He mentioned that he is very interested in the club and the promotions. I think when we go in, and have our member cards (hint hint Earl) =) that he may be able to do more business. He did mention to me that he can also source out parts for the supra club OEM and aftermarket. I think for non club members he would not. He may come to the meet on Sat, if not he may send his friend Danny?

I also got to take a peek at what was under the car cover at the back of his shop..... Very impressive! =)

...so help me god, if you people keep digging up threads from four years ago...

Yes, something did come of this. Silverstone was a sponsor for years. Then there was drama. Then they didn't make use of their sponsor forum for the better part of ever. Now there is no sponsor forum for Silverstone.

Does this bring you up to speed? Please, if you find something from years ago that you feel is unresolved, search for a keyword or something - the likelihood that it has been discussed in the years between is pretty significant.
