Hey guys I just joined this forum and I looking at getting a supra. Does not have to be turbo, 5 spd is a must, not a big rust bucket, must be drivable, unless its a small thing that needs to be fixed. If I find a supra what are some common things to check for? My price range is around $3000-$4000 give or take. Im probably not gona find one for that price but I thought I might as well check. As well I am located in Leduc, which is 10 minutes from Edmonton. Show me what ya got.

Hey, welcome to the club. here is an excellent guide on what to look for when buying a mkIII Supra:
http://www.supras.com/06/techcenter/display.php?QID=76
the most common problems to watch for would be blown head gasket, grinding in second if its an NA, oil leaks, problems with the heater system.
If you have any questions, or want one of us who've owned these cars before to come check out a car you're looking at, don't hesitate to post up and let us know.
