The Supra sightings thread

ok so I thought we could get a thread going like the one on 780tuners, but for Supras. I was thinking that we could get an idea from this of the number of supras in edmonton, and their location, so we can go member hunting :cool:

ok so I'll start off here,
Saturday, I saw my car's twin in the north end on my way back from the Autocross.. I've seen it on 99th street too, its another 87-88 maroon NA.

today I saw a white 87-88 white turbo with a bunch of big stickers on it, spotted it on 109th street first, then hours later on calgary trail.
oh saw a lady driving a red MkII with a big tail pipe on calgary trail this afternoon too.

with the good weather, the supras are coming out in force, starting to see them all over now :thumbup:

I've seen Got Boost's Supra paked out side brake check over the past week. LOL

I have seen quite a few MKII's zipping by. There is also a White MKIII with a dealer plate boping around on the south side. I recall it having a large dent on one of the sides. I think it is the drivers side.

Red MKii spotted 105st accross from the Strathcona running track.

Blue MKii spotted Victoria Soccer Club

White MKii (perfect) 101st & 104 ave parked in the lot often.

I'll have hand out cards done for this weekends meet.

I saw a beautiful White 94 MKIV on 109 St just off Whyte ave around 9:15 pm. When we came to a stop at the lights on 64 Ave (past the Mcdonalds) We chatted for a few seconds. I told him about the club and gave him the website here. He seemed interested so hopefully he will join.

Saw a nice MKII parked on Whyte ave tonight it was Red, but had a dent in the drivers side door. I also spotted a White MKIII by the Tim Hortons by UC. It had Washington plates on it and was for sale.

when I was out at Bud Park on friday, I saw a white Mk3 near the entrance with a huge wing.. I never saw it even come into the park, not sure what it was doing, and couldn't really tell what year it was, too far away from me.

Spotted 2 MKIII's on Calgary Trail North. One Black, one Maroon. Both parked. Dropped off the Supra Club cards on their windows. Also spotted a Red 90 MKIII by Parked by Sun Toyota, also tagged that car with a Supra Card. ha ha ha. Also saw a 90 Blue MKIII Turn right from 109 St to Whyte today around 4:30 pm ish. Could not get him. Next time....

Spotted Bob's Celica off of Whyte Ave today. I had finished watching the Parade walked whyte grabbed some grub then went to get a Pepsi at 7-11. Saw Bob's Celica parked there. I was going to tag him with a Supra Club sticker as a joke but I did not have any on me! LOL

i missed it today though, drove past at 11am and it was outside, at 3pm on the way to the store it was gone....curse my inaction, lol.

i still get the full allowable UI due to my 45,000 dollar income last year :) oh and savings from said income.

I am currently watching the calls at my union hall for a job i want, in town, 4-10's, i only have 6-8 weeks left on UI now, so i still have some time. Not to mention the dreaded credit thing if i have too.

haha yea guess i could. Having another supra in here would be good haha then he can drive us to meets i have only ever seen him driving it once or twice but i don't even know what he looks like. But it usually parked there for about 8 hours in a day if you ever wanna go check it out tim.

There's a horrble nightmareish sight on the corner of 137th and 127th at Kensington Crossing, across the street from Mr. Lube, displayed in it's misery for all the world to see.

Here lies a MKII I pass everyday on the bus (yes, the bus, only got my class 7 license :( ). What was a gleaming red long ago is now a heavily oxidized lump of bent rusted sheet metal. The front/rear bumpers bent, twisted, and barely hanging onto the rest of the once proud vehicle, along with the trim and anything else not welded to the frame. Rather it runs or not is a mystery. If Ever you go through this intersection, please, take a quick look around, remove your hat and pay respects.

Just went outside and sleet is falling down, I think we're going to get dusted tonight, but I don't think we're going to have anything that sticks around for a couple of weeks yet, and as soon as we do.... time to strap on the skis!

The MKII may be Dave's. Is it Red in color? I too have seen the Blue MKIII at Southgate. I have seen it there a few times. I live right by Southgate. Perhaps I will drop by one of these days and drop off a card. :D

I spotted a red MKii heading north up 111st (I think) & 23 ave last night about 7:45 PM. Snow covered but looked OK. I could not see if it had any stickers on it as it went past quickly.

Hey all, Saturday I spotted a <89 MKiii, white with a black hood and what looked like a black aluminium wing and the tail light covers that make the lights look round traveling on the whitemud freeway THEN on the way to Red Deer I saw an almost prfect <89 MKiii in blue (med). Nice.

Yeah, the 89 mkIII with the wing. That was in the shop last week getting some new rubber. I'm not a big fan of the wing, etc. Drove it into the shop, it's got a pretty loud exaust, a little ricey. I love Supras but i'm not a fan of this one. It was pretty dirty on the inside too.

I would have to say just after midday. We stopped at the Lacome (sp) McD to feed the kids. It had a window sticker that had some body shop on it but I can't remember what the name was.

Here is one up the street from me. When I was here in the fall, there was a white one getting a BHG fixed up the road, I dont think it was this one as I did not see rust on the other one. I am going to keep my eyes open for how many Supie's live here. If any one finds cars for sale on the island for sale and need a person to check em out for you let me know and I'll try to help you out.

Same night, coming off of Glenmore around Mount Royal. I was driving with a bunch of guys in Civics/MX-6s/Sentras, accidentally cut off an "85." White, obviously a repaint, shaved and filled side trim, paintmatched mirrors, really shitty hatch billboard decal (poor fit)

Either of these belong to anyone? If so, anyone want to sell me the first whitepra I mentioned? =P
