Hi SupraStar, It could mean a number of things. It could mean that you have a burned out tailight bulb, your brake fluid level is low (but I think that would light up the Ebrake light,, the one with the exclamination mark), or that your control unit for your brake lights may be fried. This control unit is located or attached to your rear tail light assembly unit. I would check the bulbs first.

Moved to support section.

I would agree with Mike. It is some sort of brake light error. CanucDave just had a problem like this, maybe he will chime in.

yeah, thats probably it, as far as I can tell its just a warning light for when a light is burned out or theres a wiring problem, in my case it was the tail light control box, which myself and Mike replaced and that fixed my brake lights, but I still have the light on, must be a loose connection or wiring issue somewhere still..

Hi Suprastar,

That may be it. The problem only occours when your lights are turned on right? The warning light does not come on when your prake peddal is pressed in and your brake lights light up? It may be that one of the filiments is broken on one of your tail light bulbs. I seem to recall that they have 2 filiments inside the bulb.

As Dave had mentioned it may also be the relay box, or as you had mentioned your licence plate lights may be the culprit. I think the bulb is a 194 or a 196?? The number will be on the bulb. They are real easy to get at and fix.

Earl had also mentioned that there is some sort of a control switch under the dash. I do not recall completely what is was or where it was located. I think it may be attached to the brake pedal.

I think thats the issue with my car. I have been finding several inches of water in the rear left quarter pannel poket. I resealed the wing but this goes beyond that as the water gain is quite rappid for the amount of rain we have gotten. I will have to look at it again. Anybody know how hard it is to check that seal?
