89 MKIII side mirror screws

Jeff,

About to reattach my newly painted side mirror, and can't remember what I did with the 3 screws that attach the housing to the door. Could you give me an idea of the sizes (part #s) of these? Also, think that I'm not missing anything else here. There is a plate screwed to the housing held with 3 short screws, and I believe this is what I am to screw into to attach the whole thing to the door itself.

Am I right here? Am I missing anything or would it be helpful if I was more vague???

So you want the 3 screws that attach the mirror to the door plate, and the screws/bolts that hold that plate to the door? (There are only 2 on that plate to the door)

I'm a bit confused, but if that makes sense, let me know. :eek:

Looking for the 3 screws that attach the housing to the triangle piece that sticks up out of the door (that the window rolls up against) - there is also a small triangle plate on the mirror housing that is already held on by 3 small screws (that screw into the housing itself) that these 3 fasteners will screw into (holes are threaded in this plate for the screws to grab onto). Looking for the threaded screws that go through the sail of the door (for lack of a better descriptive) that sticks up from the door and against the window, and screw into the plate with threaded holes that is actually attached to the mirror housing.

Don't have the mirror housing handy right now, but I can take a pic tonight if necessary.

Does that make sense?

EDIT: so 3 screws for mirror to the door plate - hmmm now I am confused. The plate is already attached to the mirror housing, and it has 3 threaded holes to accept screws to attach to the door - not 2. Maybe a picture from home tonight would sort this out for me. Sorry for the runaround.

I can get the 3 that hold the mirror to the door panel. Any of the screws on the mirror assembly itself, I cannot order. Toyota considers the entire mirror to be 1 piece, not separate pieces.
