I'm not big into purchasing things online, with duty, shipping, the whole nine yards. Does anyone have any good recommendations for shops I could order parts from in Edmonton? In particular, I'm considering a carbon fibre or aluminum drive shaft and a nice down pipe for my 89 Turbo Supra. Thanks

So far what I've seen in Edmonton, if you go into those shops and tell them you have a Mk3 Supra they seem to have never heard of parts for them. Tell them you've got an Integra or a Civic and they're happy to help...
When I was getting stuff for my car, I looked locally, and the best that I could do were things like ARP studs, and gauges which are really not model dependent. I ended up bringing in my entire exhaust up from the States.

Try Aero Car Parts on 50th street. The owners name is Rick. Very good to deal with. Seems to have a pretty good network, I'm sure he could find the down pipe at the very least. Driveshaft might be a little trickier.
The number is 780-440-6017.

I've dealt with Rick before, nice guy. Here's the deal though, I built a turbo Paseo last winter.
Stage 2 Clutch kit and lightweight Fidanza flywheel
Online - $760 shipped to my PO
Aero - For the same clutch kit, not including flywheel
$750
However, Aero was the only place I called that seemed to have any idea where to find the parts I was looking for, and Rick was VERY helpful... Just too expensive for me.

www.driftmotion.com (http://www.driftmotion.com) you might not like ordering online but they have all speciality parts for the mk3 and their very easy to deal with. They have your driveshaft, i dont know about carbon fibre though.

I usually order stuff online from auto supplies (http://www.canpages.ca/business/AB/calgary/automobile-parts-and-supplies-new-retail/91-050200.html) stores, and have been happy with the products. I got tired of driving or calling around at places in Edmonton trying to find certain parts, which the places usually have to order themselves anyways. But if anybody knows of good places always glad to hear of them.
I would just order from the states. More often than not that's were it came from and it will have been marked up anyway. Plus if you order online chances are you will get what you are looking for.
