Hey Jeff.

Just curious what it would cost me for the 3.13 diff gear out of the mkiv getrag 6 speed diff? Looking to swap it for the auto diff piece.

Thanks,

-Matt

6-speed and autos used different sized differentials. You cannot put the 3.13 gears into an auto housing.

If you are interested in a 3.27:1 ratio:

41201-19645 - Gear, Final; List: $1066.30, Cost: $906.00

2-3 weeks from Japan.

Alright then, how about the full 6 speed differential carrier/assembly? It would mean a custom driveshaft, but at the moment, it's the only way to bump the top speed up, which is my goal. I think I read that the 6 speed casing keeps the diff cooler anyway.

Hey Jeff

It looks like I was looking at a badly written chart, I thought that the 3.27 gearing was what I had, turns out I have more like a 3.7. I'm curious, though, with everything that just happened in Japan, how difficult would it be to get this now?

Thanks,

-Matt

I haven't had any difficulties getting parts as of yet. I think most affected stuff will be brand new vehicle parts, but even there I don't think it will be an issue until late spring/early summer.
