Hey everyone...ok well my situation to the most detail is that I have had my mk2 (83) supra parked on my lawn for 4 days now, reason being is that I wanted to save the cars life and use my other car a Grand Am..lol...so I get back to the car...fix some minor things here and there before I start it...so I start it and want to go for a drive/cruise around the west end...so for the 1st couple of minutes the brakes are fine, and then when I come to a stop from 50 km/h I notice the pedal going down without me applying to much pressure to the pedal, so I put my foot down with it...I get near the floor and I notice that I have only 1 tire breaking...the front right/passenger tire...so I’m like wtf… I keep driving and driving and it still is the same thing, pumping wont help, it just keeps going to the floor. If I apply the break to the floor I can lock up the 1 wheel/tire...what can you tell me is the problem...thanks

Humm...how is the fluid level in the master cylinder? My first thought is a leak, but if you are losing no fluid then I would say the master cylinder is fried. It could be a seized drivers caliper but I am not sure if that would give you a soft pedal.

Hi Night_Font,

That is never a fun position to be in. Check the fluid level in your resivoir. It is possable that the fluid has drained out somehow while the car was parked on the grass. Since it was on the grass it will leave no wetspots of brake fluid, only dead spots of grass. LOL I would also check your brake lines individually to ensure that they are connected tight and that the hoses do not have any lacerations.

Another option is that you may have air in your lines. You can bleed the lines, I have a brake bleeder kit at home.

Perhaps your calipers are seized, or perhaps your brake booster has bit the dust.

if the booster is fried i would expect it to be hard to push the pedal and the drivers front is the shortest line to the caliper so i would exect it to lock first. i would checking for leaks, cracked lines and bulging lines. Since this heppened suddenly i would be looking at a blockage somewhere, is it possible that something got into the brake resevoir and is blocking things in the proportining valve? if you need a hand later just email me, same as my msn address, i'm on and off all day.

I just did my front rotors calipers & pads last night. I had a caliper stick on a rortor & cook it well. Mt pedal feel was good but the front lright wheel got so hot I was afraid the tie was gonna blow. The last time I had your symptoms I had a line crack & leak out on me. It sucked cause I was driving at the time. ah, the joys of used cars....

If anybody needs it I have 2 sets of pads that look new (80%) and one good rotor. This would be for free as it is just "junk" in my garage. PM me.

Well I got them fixed everyone. I changed the master cylinder and ((blead – don’t really know how to spell that)) all the brakes with new DOT3 brake fluid, it breaks so much better now, even before 2 months ago when I first go the car.

Hi Night Font,

Good to hear that you got your problem worked out. I was thinking Master Cylinder but brake booster came out..... LOL

Welcome back to the land of the stopping.
