I guess I'm going to have to make sure none of the MK II (I'd like to point out they're wrong about the gen in the vid) guys get 400rwhp into there car (especially Glenn). No, we certainly couldn't have that. Good vid though  .

Cheers,

well if you watch it it shows the 7m sitting in the engine bay at the end, so ya its probably a 7m, lol.

bolts in using 5m engine mounts, bolts to the stock tranny, or upgrade to the r154, and you can buy the adapter harness. good for 13's after putting it in and running a stock setup on the motor.

I'll be stinkin with the 5m for a quite a while
Valves on 5m are thicker so they should handle more boost anyway... right?

Not if they're thicker b/c they're made of an inferior material. I don't know if they are or not, but just thought I'd throw that out there.
Thicker could also mean heavier, so they might float at a lesser RPM... not good. What's the redline on a 5m anyhow?

redline is 6500 rpm, i know people that push em as far as 7000 on stock heads. they are good.

i like my 5m gte, however, it would be wiser to go straight for a 7m if you want to later anyways. Its an easy swap, i have laid it out breifly at least once on here, and my cousin in calgary can make a plug and play adapter harness for the motor. so i don't see the downside.

aftermarket parts for the 7m is easier to come by than the 5m too..also a plus
