Saturday September 11 - Supra Club end of Summer show n' shine and cruise! RSVP NOW!

Okay guys... if we want to keep this club viable, we need to have at least one successful meet this summer. I don't have the time to organize a good meet at the moment, so I'll do the preliminary planning, but someone else will have to get in here and help me out.

I propose Saturday, September 11 for our show n' shine and cruise.

I'm out of town the weekend previous, and the extra notice gives you guys time to book it off work. I'll make another thread, and, if you guys think it's okay, crosspost this to Celicatech.com - the GT4 guys are awesome, and like to come out.

I'll be using this thread to determine where we should meet, and where we should cruise to. If we actually have this all laid out, maybe one or two of you guys will actually come?

Although I am willing to travel to E town for this, one could argue that it is about time we had it here in Calgary, considering pretty much every year, the main BBQ etc. is in Edmonton.

It always seems like a really good idea to have a meet in Calgary every once in a while, especially for the main BBQ/cruise/show for the summer, but let's face it: Every time we try to have a meet in Calgary, the same five people come out, and nobody from Edmonton comes down. Every time we have a meet in Edmonton, the same five to ten people from Edmonton come out, and the same five people from Calgary drive up.

Unfortunately I'm going to be in the middle of a major plant shutdown at the time, I'm going to be working most of september straight through, 12-14 hour shifts. No way I'll be able to make it. Gotta pay for the parts somehow though :P this DOES mean that I'll probably have something pretty to show in the spring (or whenever the next show is). I might just have the first phase of my unique turbo project installed by then, too.

Either way, hope the meet happens, all the best to you guys. And girl :P This is a downer for me, wanted to see that GT4.

Sadly Sept is pretty busy for me as I am out of town for a few weekends. I will not be able to attend a show in Calgary or in Edmonton during sept. :mad:

If you guys need the BBQ supplies, etc I still have them in my garage!

Judging by the poll: no matter where we have this, we will have a poor turnout. So, given that I am busy the following weekend, I guess that means that this will have to wait until next year, when maybe more members have running cars that they're not trying to sell, and I'm not trying to set up a house. If anyone is up for a Calgary pub meet in the near future, let me know. If not, see you guys next time!

I'm southern alberta, so if it's in calgary that's not too bad, only a 2 1/2 hour drive, but I don't know how long I'll be ableto cruise for, funds are low for me right now.

pub meet works for me. i could bring some non-supra friends with some decent cars to increase the attendance and we could go for a fun, casual cruise

That sounds lovely. We'll have to pick an evening that works for most. I'll invite some of the Celica Tech guys too - they're pretty rad. And a central-ish pub with a decent lot will have to be chosen as the location.

I'm pretty flexible on the date, but a little notice would be nice so i could tell the boys. and a decent parkinglot is definately a good idea :D
