This is a pimpin '97 Tacoma. Turbocharged DOHC 16-valve inline-4, iron block and aluminum head, port fuel injection AND it has a multi-link rear suspension, seats, brakes and wheels from an '89 Supra :P

It was either Car & Driver or Motortrend that I remember seeing that in, I know the on you're talking about.

Yah, they're pretty nice, but I still like the old SR5s with maybe a 7m or something in them. I wouldn't mind throwing a 2J into one of those Tacos though...

Just noticed this, Supras don't have multi-link suspension, they have a double-wishbone.
Your mistake or theirs?

i remember reading along time ago that that truck blew a head gasket when it was being tested of some crud???? even has saw blades hehe.

I want one of the old SR5s too, I have ever since my buddy got one way back in highschool. They're such a fun truck to drive too, sort of like the Jeep TJs.
