Product: Apex-i Power Intake
Place Purchased: Matrix Motorsports
Price Paid: $200
Application: 7mgte
Highlights: Easy to install, looks good, and the kit is very complete, including things that I didn't even know what to do with until getting creative. Sounds awesome at high speeds
Caveats: Doesn't come in a larger size for when I go to a 4" intake, the instructions only come in japanese as far as I know (mine came from japan so...)
Installation Time: 30 minutes, and I was taking my sweet time.
Installation Difficulty (1-10, 10 being difficult): 1; Take out the badness and install the new hotness 8) . If you can change the air filter in a MKIII turbo, you can put this in, requires taking out upper IC pipe (takes two seconds).
Rating (1-10, 10 being best): 10
Additional Comments: Its awesome, looks great... go buy one. NOW

DAMN YOU HYSHKA!!!

I can't believe you payed only $150... I knew I was paying too much, but this was before I knew all the loopholes in shipping across the border. I've had this on my car since the beginning of the season (owned it for two years though, just never installed), my car's been parked since August 26 or so.

Now you know!

Cheers,

Tim

supra sport baby, i bought it for 125 us which turns out to be 150, the next day they raised the price to 135 but now it seems to be down. only paid $16cnd for shipping, so really 166cnd.

That's who I was going to buy it from, but I had just been stun pulling an 89+ spolier and some other stuff across the border. I didn't know how bad UPS was, and got hit with brokerage fees of $70 on top of the shipping cost. It was ridiculous, and there was GST on top of that. It was just way too much hassle. Now that I'm skilled at getting stuff across the border, I'd buy pretty much anyhing on-line before getting it here.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, when I was looking, it was only $90US, I wish I had known better back then.

Got mine from MVP for $114US and I love it. Can't comment on the improvement because I made the mistake of doing the intake, exhaust, and downpipe at the same time so the improvement was huge together. Shipping wasn't bad for everything either. Like $80 or something.

I have one of those, but under the passenger headlight. Yeah it requires some custom plumbing, but it's great having a cold air intake and the small size of that filter makes it possible to fit it in that space.
