Hey all,
My name is Bracham, I'm from Grande Prairie, and I don't drive a Supra. Well, not at the moment, anyway. I've owned a total of two MKII's, still own one, but the engine is shot.
Anyways...I got to meet a few of you guys last weekend, but for those of you I didn't get to meet, I'm a 20-year-old, usually stubble-faced, short, light guy who drives a Civic.
The Supra I still own is an '83 MKII P-type Terra-Cotta automatic that is in pretty decent shape. Only problem is that the key for the cam pulley on the crank sheared off, so the cams don't turn too well. That car will either get the drivetrain from my wrecked car, or a MKIII or MKIV turbo drivetrain if I manage to find the money.
Anyways...any questions, start shooting! Have a good one y'all!

EDIT: I do have some pics, I'll upload them ASAP. (Probably not tonight though.)

Hey Bracham!

Yes I do recall spending some time talking to you at APEX, and afterwards at BPs. If I recall, your civic made about 84 fwhp right? :D I'm just kidding. I still think that the performance exhaust added some power.

Welcome to our humble forums!

Feel free to look around and ask questions!

See you around!

Cheers,

Tim

hey Bracham,

welcome to the site, I'd seen you post on CS, it was good to meet you in person last weekend.

Thanks for the welcomes guys! I am totally looking forward to learning from what you guys have to say...and getting to come down and meet up with you guys as often as I can, even if I am driving a Civic for a while.
Tim, you're the guy who didn't have a car there, right? Cause you had it parked for the winter already I think. You then had to leave the group early for some reason too. Oh wells.
And Dave, you're the guy who drives the red MKII with the shot clutch, I was told! :P Had the camera at the dyno.
My msn address is listed in the appropriate thread, and also in my profile for anyone who's interested in chatting.
Oh, and yes Tim, my numbers are easy to remember: 80 hp and 80 tq. lol I was actually happy with those numbers...wasn't expecting the torque to be so high. I gotta weigh my car one day so I know what my power to weight ratio is.

Yeah Bracham,

I'm the guy who's car was already in the garage so I came with my buddy who drives a Saturn.

Left early to bid on an ebay item (and lost).

Cheers,

Tim

P.S. Buy Anthony's Car!

Which was Anthony's again? Sorry...my memory is not the greatest. I was just talking to one of my brothers, though, and he told me of an '85 MKII, totally loaded, stock, with auto, body not bad, interior in mint shape, engine good, asking $5000. I might have to take a weekend and go look at it, and if it's good, see if I can get ahold of some money! If I can't get the money, and it does look like a deal, I'll make sure I let you guys know how to get at it!

hey bracham,
was good to see ya on the dynoday, hope you had a good trip home.

for what its worth, 5k is kinda a lot for a stock auto... there will be rust, and rust is the enemy.

imo, for $5000 you could fly down to the states, find a nice mkII and drive it home.
lots of them for sale in great shape for 2000-3000ish.

To tell the truth...I very much doubt I could come up with the money, even if it was only a couple grand. Oh well.

On another note, I put my Civic in the shop today...removed the air filter, which is actually a K&N, cleaned it right up, as it was dirty as could be. I also checked the rest of the intake for restrictions, and removed a baffle from just above the throttlebody. Put the covers back on...and now it seems to have a little more spunk. Breathing a little easier. One day I'll get rid of the cat, make sure the exhaust flows good, and possibly build a functional hood scoop. We'll see what happens.

Oh and barry, I did have a good trip home. Satelite radio is awesome company for road trips!
