WTB 3.73 markII diff

I'm looking for a 3.73 LSD diff for my Celica. The 4.10s in it now are too short for my combo and the 3.73 unit I have howls like a banshee.

Any advice on repairing my old one would be welcome too.

i would say get a true trac LSD for it, you use the true trac for the front axle of a 7.5" toyota 4x4. get a shop to do that and all the bearing, seals and such and use new LSD fluid. Costly but stronger and like new. as far as a another one, i plan on collecting them for that reason, the 3.73 is popular but mainly came in the 82 Supra, i know where there are ,aybe 2, 1 at a yard in the city and i think 1 at karbasher, i'm plan on heading out tommorow to pull at least one.

i looked on celicasupra.com's forums and didn't see anything, i imagine a rebuild kit would solve your problem but i can't be sure.

the housing, No, definetly not. the internals may be compatible but i'm not sure about it. i'll dp some looking.

Update: My old diff looks like it was overhauled and the pinion bearing preload screwed up, which piled the bearings. Everything else seems OK, I'm putting bearings and seals in it and giving it a try.

I have a 83 mkii I'd be willing to trade. I havent pulled it out of the car and looked at it but by the way everything has come off the car so far it seems like nothing was harassed at all.

83 should have 4.10 unless its auto, then it should be 3.73
