Coolant leak

so i have a little bit of a coolant problem, as in it doesn't seem to want to stay in my car. It always drops down to a certain level in the coolant tank though. It seems to stay just an inch or two in the tank. Even when i drive it like that it it doesn't go down once it reaches that point. However when i fill it up again and drive when i get out it is dripping all over the place. Just wondering what your guys opinion was my uncle is takin it in tomorrow to check it out so hopefully its nothing serious and can be done by next week so i can drive it to edmonton.

sounds like a loose hose clamp on one of your coolant lines. I'd go through and check them all, it was as simple as that when I was leaking coolant in my NA mkIII.

Yea i sure hope so my uncle has it in tongiht. I ahve been driving my parents car since they are on vacation. Holy those new little family cars can just fly nowadays.

Is your tank cracked? If it always drops to the same point I would look at that first.

no i don't believe that is it as it always sems to come down on the passenger side so i ruled that one out.

Allright this is getting a little rediculous. So when i went to take my car to my uncle...i just couldn't get it to leak. I went for a road trip down the highway to warm her up and she just wouldn't go. Either a little bit of stagefright or i have magic Supra elves that come and fix my car at night. And if it is the elves why havent those little bastards fixed the rust.

Why don't you take it by a Mr. Lube or something and have it pressure tested. I used to work for Mr. Lube, and they should do it for free. Then you would know where it's coming from or what's up.
