Okay, so vote up, when works for you?

Any of the three works for me, so long as I have some notice. I only spanned 3 weekends for the poll, since that should be enough time for the 'next' meet, hopefully with another one after that.

im good for any weekend as well except for maybe the 9 cause it looks like the club dyno day may be that weekend

Dan_Gyoba
07-17-2008, 11:38 AM
Yeah, I didn't see the dyno day info. I'd like to be in on that, if I can get my turbo/IC installed before then.

I am going to be in Edmonton next weekend (26/27), so if it happens to be then, then I will probably join you guys.

07-17-2008, 09:11 PM
I'm down for all but the last one(i'm a pretty social guy:confused: I think) i'm not to sure if i should trust my car to make it to calgary so an edmonton meet would be good.

10secdream
07-18-2008, 07:57 AM
So the 26/27 looks like the day then?

Dan_Gyoba
07-18-2008, 10:53 AM
Yeah, the 26/27 looks like the more popular choice (Among the two that don't conflict with the Calgary dyno show 'n shine.)

That gives us a week to choose a venue, though the Fox drive one seems like a deccent default choice.

I think i can make that, bbq like last year?

WooHoo! Sunday BBQ and cruise, Dan?

Dan_Gyoba
07-20-2008, 09:42 AM
I suppose that's the next step, Saturday or Sunday? (Sunday might work better.)

Also who can bring what?

celica83_gts
07-20-2008, 09:59 AM
I like Sunday. I can bring the fixin's, chopped onions, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese.... all the things we've been lacking in the past!

10secdream
07-21-2008, 01:56 AM
Sunday works for me as well. Just let me know what I should bring.

Dan_Gyoba
07-21-2008, 08:51 AM
I can bring burger and dog buns.

10secdream
07-22-2008, 01:45 PM
I can bring some hotdogs, chips and pop. Where and what are we using for a BBQ? This will be my first meet so directions and a rough idea where we are going and what we will be doing would be appreciated.

Kosh
07-22-2008, 08:06 PM
lets get get the major details out of the way so we can all plan it then. So it sounds like fox drive, Sunday afternoon, BBQ? Now we need directions please.

Supra_devil
07-22-2008, 08:59 PM
i'm a maybe, if i do come i'll bring some pop in a cooler minimum.

uncorkedsupra
07-23-2008, 07:42 AM
Sunday sounds good, what time? noon, 1pm? I will bring bbq tools and some burgers, pop too.

location is whitemud park, the map does not show the sideroads, so just go down fox drive, and turn off where the keeler road goes,(the only turnoff from fox drive. it goes towards the river) and follow it around to the park, if anyone has anything to add please do.
here is a map

Kosh

^^ Seems to be the consensus. Looking forward to seeing a lot of Supras!!

celica83_gts

Let's be there, rain or shine. We've gone far too long without a meet this year for some reason. If it's wet, we can cruise a little and find an indoor venue for the meet.

Kosh

I am down for Sunday the 27th. I still have a box of BBQ stuff from the last BBQ. I will post up later what I have.

Oh yes... Jezzebel (my supra) will be in attendance too.

Forecast calls for rain but I will come rain or shine!!!!

Dan_Gyoba
07-24-2008, 02:33 PM
I don't care 'bout no stinkin' rain.

The mud isn't much fun though.

Hey, as a rain alternate, there's that picnic shelter at Hawrelak... I think you're supposed to book that, though... Maybe not...

uncorkedsupra
07-25-2008, 07:28 AM
mud? soap and water can get rid of that, if its that bad why dont we make it a car cleaning meet? lol

I really hope I can make it out on Sunday but my car is still fouling spark plugs everyday. It is really starting to piss me off and I cannot figure out the issue at hand.

Dan_Gyoba

10secdream

All I have are plates, napkins, forks, knives, plastic cups lefty over from the last one.

I am checking out the 11:30 am showing of batman. I might miss the bbq. I will take a spin by later. The movie is about 2.5 hrs long. :D

I think it would be safe to say the meet was a success. The turnout was good, we got to meet some new members, and we all got fed. (despite a lack of firewood :) ) Sadly, only one Mark2 showed up, they must be showing their age. (the one that was there was NOT showing it's age!)

The cruise was good, but could have been better had the soccer moms kept their minivans out of the group! And, I don't think any scores were settled on the Henday, but at least no one broke anything. We had duels with 7MGTEs, a 1JZ, a 3SGTE, and a 22RTE, along with Glenn's truck (not sure what's in it). Good time!

X 2.

Although in keeping with GOT BOOST tradition.....

When I left the parking lot and entered onto Fox Drive my rear tail light malfunction indicator lamp illuminated. It stayed on for the entire run. When I got home I checked all the lights, it was fine. electrical gremlins.

I had a really good time at the BBQ and the weather was awesome. It was nice to finally put faces to names. Too bad there was so much traffic on the Henday but there was still a couple battles going on.

My car was running like junk and breaking up at WOT. So it was pretty frustrating to not put my foot to the floor.

Hopefully we can get another BBQ going before the snow starts to fall.

yeah we definitely have to this again sometime soon. That way I can get in on the supra action. My car is so close to ready I can already hear the screams of the ashfault! It was awesome to get to meet a lot of you again too. Great to see so many running supras.

It is all fixed now. Turns out one of my brake light bulbs burned out. I checked them again last night when it was dark, and backed the car up to a shop with a glass front.

Sure enough.. :D

A quick stop into my garage and I was in business again. :D

It was odd... When I checked it the other day it did not appear to be burned out. Oh well... Now I have no more warning lights and my timing is now set to 10 DBTDC. :D She pulls a little quicker than before. :D

I had that happen with one of my brake lamps. The connection was actually intermittant, so the lamp failure thing would light up, but when I checked the lamps, they were all good. I eventually (After several weeks) caught the light when it was out, and replaced it. It was one of the original lamps as far as I could tell, the case was labelled in Japanese. Not bad after some 420,000 kms at the time. Anyway, again, a new 1157 lamp, and good to go.
