OK, so ya know how I had been posting about my transmission being, lets say... odd? Well the saga continues.
What do you get when the tranny, while under power, releases hard from second to third and the clutch pedal only returns 25~33% to normal position?
The release point is now the floor. Clutch on-Clutch off with only an inch of play.
Hummm....here is my latest guess as to why. My car hates me. I mean I think the throw bearing has let go in some way.
What ideas do you have? I'll post what I find as soon as I can get under the car.

well i just responded on 780, i fixed my car today, in time to dyno it even. My guess is the clutch master cylinder, or maybe slave is pooched.

I was thinking slave when I took it off...It did not seem right. Lucky for me I have another. I'll do a comparison when I get the tranny off.
Thanks.

Hi Earl,
I would second that. Perhaps the Master cylinder is leaking. Is there clutch fluid on the floor or under the dash on the drivers side. Apparantly it leaks from a location inside the firewall but it is easy to replace. Asides from that I am not too certain what it may be?

OK, I have been putting in & taking out the tranny for 3 days now. 4 times is good practice. I have [posted on supraforums and they said all things point to clutch disk in backwards. That was not the case. Not slave or masters.
I think I have put the clutch release bearring holder in wrong. But I am so tired of puting this thing in and out by myself that I cannot move my arms any more.
The up side is I can get a tranny out in 1 hour if needed.
More later..I guess.

OK, My last post in this thread was May 28, my birthday oddly enough, any way it has been an enjoyable month and a half with the ability to shift.
Well that time is over. Yes once again my tranny has chosen not to shift. I had put in the N/A LSD yesterday morning and had a chance to take the car out for a shake down run. It survived that well enough so I thought "hey lets run it" and off to the freeway I go.
A rush hour run down the whitemud then down Calgarty trail...what a waste of gas. Then I get this great idea, you know thats how it always starts, to cut accross Elersly rd out to the west end. Once again the traffic was a pain. Uppon entering south twilligar towne I had the chance to finnaly open it up a bit. Bam 1st gear, pound the clutch down again for second gear, mash the gas and pound the clutch pedal in again and ...WHAT! The bitch is stuck to the floor! AHHHH !!
FU(K! I'll be under my car....again

could it be a slave cylinder problem?
my pedal is down way lower than it should be, and ive been told its either the slave or master cylinders.

nope! it is the part number 31231. The clutch release hub? find it here http://www.cygnusx1.net/supra/library/EPC/MKIII_NATO/291410/3101_2.html
it seems to have sheared the ridge off that holds the C clip, that holds the thrust washer as the clutch fork pulled the preasure plate out off the disk.
ummm yeah....musta been my awsome power pounding the clutch down.
