so instead of the old style of Gallery, which was not working well at all, I decided to just create a section of the forum dedicated to galleries.
The meets and events forum is pretty much self explanatory, a new thread will be posted up every time we have a meet, and everybody can post their photos.
As for the member galleries, each registered member has their own forum (if you don't have a forum up yet, either you haven't sent your registration info in yet - see this news post regarding that: http://supraclub.ca/modules.php?op=modload&name=News&file=article&sid= 7&mode=thread&order=0&thold=0 or if you already have, it wasn't updated on the member list yet, in which case, send me a PM, I'll get a gallery up for you.) , so you can post up a new thread to document new projects on your car, new sets of photos, progress threads, etc.
To upload photos, just use the "Add an Attachment" section at the bottom of the new post screen, it will then display with your post.
If you have an questions, ideas, criticism or whatever regarding the new gallery system, please PM me or post here and I can make changes if necessary. I'm hoping this will be better than the last gallery system.

Dave,

What are the limits going to be for space? I have a pile of pictures I can put up here and I don't want to down our site.

the limit for file sizes is 150kb, I've set aside 1GB of webspace for uploads, so that should last for a while, if we start running out of space I'll start looking at upgrading the hosting. in the meantime, post what you've got, we've got plenty of space for now.

the best size for uploading is 1024 x 768 and probably around 100kb

if photos are very large, it should automatically resize them when they're uploaded

I have been hosting on cardomain & then linking to this forum for some and hosting on my shaw space for others. Less load on our server.
