Hey if i am changing my brake pads and rotors and the brake pads don't fit over the rotors cause the caliper piston is too far out do i have to drain all my brake fluid to move them in or is there an easier way to fix this? I gotta have this done by saturday to get it insured haha.
Thanks, Dilsky

HI Dilsky,
There is an easy way. Just take a C clamp to the caliper. Put the end that moves in and out with the swivel head on the piston. The piston looks like a target in the middle of the caliper. Put the other end of the C clamp to the other side of the caliper and tighten. Tighten untill the piston is all the way back inside the caliper or untill it will no longer compress. You will see brake fluid pour out of the resivoir and on the floor, do not be concerned with this as that is normal. It is just the excess fluid that one has poured in now being poured out.
Hope this helps,
Mike Nikolai

they do make a spreader as well, will work better than Got Boosts suggestion because of the floating caliper design, but a c-clamp works good too.
