this will be an ongoing post, i hope to update with a positive conclusion tomorrow (wednesday july,20)

i called to order tires on friday morning, the guy said the fronts were in stock, the rears coming from calgary.
he said "monday...maybe tuesday at the latest, ill call you when they are in"
he also said that he had me written down in their order book, and anyone else should be able to find it if hes not avaliable.
never did remember to get his name :(

so, monday rolls around, and no phone call.
tuesday is rolling along and i decide to call at 3pm.
the guy i speak to has no idea of anything to do with me, except an old quote from a month ago, which has no bearing on this order.
he cant find my name in the order book, or anywhere else.
neither can anyone else who looks.
he takes my number and promises to call me back before 5 pm.

5:15 rolls around and still no call, so i call them back, and predictably, they are closed.

i have never gotten such a run around for no evident reason, and i hoped it was an isolated incident, but after speaking with supra_devil, he claims that he got similar treatment.

if they werent considerably cheaper than anyone else in town, id go elsewhere, and i may still.
as it is, it looks like i may be going to www.tiretrends.com for my tires.

will update as news breaks.

Sorry to hear man.

Damn strong economy, makes so many people lazy.

Just so you know, I bought my Falkens from tire trends, took 4 days, good price too. Went perfectly smooth, unlike what you are going through, sucks.

well.... i must say, they pulled it outa their asses and did the job.

Gord called me on wednesday morning, apologized for my call not being returned, and explained the situation.
the tires they "had" in calgary were actually held up in vancouver, due to a dockyard strike.
the truck was on its way as of tuesday night.
he said that the guy i spoke to should have known that, but apparently forgot to mention it...

he called at 4:45 pm on wednesday, my tires were in.
so i go in this morning and drop off my wheels to be mounted.

he knocked some money off for the hassle, and had them done in an hour.

so, many thanks to Gordon Griffin, at the southside O.K tire.

if you need tires and your buying locally, talk to him and only him, apparently hes the only one who knows anything there, lol.

I was at the St.Albert trail and 117 ave. location and reciever th run around and lost name, tire info, can't order them in for you till you pay, can't let you pay cuz we don't know what the hells going on and what tires, can't see if theres tires for you cuz its the weekend(day before they did check and had lots).

was a complete gongshow. so i would say stay away from the St.albert trail and 117ave location.

It means "thank you a thousand times" in Italian.

At the west end OK tire location, I had them really mess up.

They put directional tread tires on, with the tread in reverse direction from the rim.

When I pointed it out, they didn't want to do anything about it, but they (eventually, after much argument) did. They swaped the rims around so that they were facing the right way (they wanted to charge me for a tire rotation) without moving the tires. After I pointed THAT out, they finally straightened it out, but charged me to re-mount and re-balance the wheels. (And they didn't remove the weights from inside of the rims, so there were some really funky weight on the wheels when they were finished.

That was the last time I took my car there.

i didnt pay for it until i saw that it looked satisfactory.
with tires, i find that once they are in stock and in the shop, generally they do a great job, or a terrible job... sounds like you got the latter.
