so for our first meet of may, I was thinking a weekend meet is probably best, since most of us are working during the week. Saturday worked fine last month, so that could be just fine (I work alternating saturdays, so as long as its not the 7th or 21st, its fine with me..), or we could do sunday if it would work better.

feel free to post any suggestions for a meet up location too, i.e. Oliver square like last time, or maybe hawrelak park etc..

Dave,
I was just going to post that the May 14 would be a preferred meet date. I was thinking this time we should hook up at the ledge like you wanted so we can get a group car pic that dosen't have a McDicks in the background.

that works, so how about this: everybody can arrive between 4-5pm, after which point we can decide if we want to hang around longer, or go cruising etc..

i like the supra icon on your map, btw if you wanted more pics from the other meet i have a couple posted on my personal page. not a big group one but some closer up and detailed ones, as well as a pic of all mk2's that were present.

Hey Dave,

I love the BHG icon on your page. Funny I have never known a Supra to have a BHG. ha ha ha ha ha ha!

Thanks for posting the map.

I am now on my way to brake check to see the status of the gremlin that is haunting me.

Mike,

Your post time says 4:03 AM. Please don't tell me that your that sick to get up and surf at that time?

I like the park idea. I don't know how busy it will be so we have no opportunity to get a lot of group car picks, but we can also cruse up to the ledge and get a pic or two up there.

C-U then Url.

EDIT: My post time shows 4:16 am. Dave? This can get to be confusing.

Hey Earl,

Nah, I generally do not surf for supra parts at 4:03 am. Sometimes earlier in the morning or later in the day. LOL I think it may be a problem with out times. I thought I had mine set to MST?

Ohhh.... We may have a guest show up at our club meet. I was speaking with no other than Raymond Cheung at Silverstone Automotive for almost an hour this morning. As some of you may or may not know, Raymond is huge into the MKIII's. He services alot of MKIII Supra's and has alot of access to parts from Japan. There were 3 MKIII's in the shop, and 2 skylines. I was able to tour the shop and learn alot of valuable information inregards tuning and projects he is working on. Raymond may be joining us at our 2nd meet this Saturday. Silverstone Automotive address is 6235-99 Street. Edmonton, Alberta PH 780-438-7397. www.silverstonemotorsports.ca

Raymond is interested in joining the club and can be a good referral point for recruting future members and helping to service existing club members. Oh, and as promised, I bought a strut tower bar off him today. It connects the two struts and not the tri strut tower bar. The price for them is $60.00. They fit the MA70. He has quite a few so I told him I would put in a plug for him! =)

I will also post this in another section on our forum but with more detail.

Hi Everyone,

Here is an idea I have been pondering. Seeing as how Saturday is supposed to be +24 should we turn this meet into some sort of a BBQ, then go for a cruise after?

Afterall we have the location, we have the cars, we have the means to cook to food?

We can discuss the club in more detail as we progress. We are growing exponentially and much faster than I expected. It appears that after one month of being operational we have grown to 21 members. Not too shabby.

What are everyones thoughts? I value all input.

Hey,

Who has the pix from this months meet? Your gonna post pix soon eh?

I found it odd that only a few people came out considering the weather, but what can you do. Well we had an OK time at the park but by the time we cooked & cleaned up most of us had to cut out. (Thanks for the food Dave)

I know we could have been up two more people but Dave had that little mishap with the neon. I am happy to say Dave and Glenn are OK but the N/A looked sort of folded. Dave said he would post pix and keep us informed with details.
Dave, your gonna post pix soon eh?

I had to be a Trowas at 9 am to pull his motor. I didn't get there till 9:30 and it took us till 12 to get the motor onto the ground. I think that’s not bad for 3 people.

Andriy, your gonna post pix soon eh?

(I really have to buy a camera)

We will do another BBQ May 28 or 29 at my house. I’ll confirm the date soon.

Just a little update on this, I was a bit ahead of myself with this statement and will mot be able to do the BBQ at my house then. Family commitments have taken over.

So we did the May 28th meet. The good news is that nobody got hit on the way there. Any pictures worth showing Dave? I reset the gallery section for meets to have them broken down by date/events. That way I wont have to scroll through 20 pictures to find the newest.

I am planning on the June 18th for a BBQ at my house but I have to be sure I don't have to be out of town or something like that.
