Hi everyone,
Just letting you know that the ride to Manitoba was a success. It is insanely hot and humid here. The weather tpday was +34 with the humidity it was 40. There are huge amounts of water everywhere.
Just came back from a "Crusie night" that goes down every Sunday in the streets of Winnipeg. Very impressive. Spotted a rusty MKII and a nice white MKIII. There are alot of "Mullet cars" driving around.
All is going well. My neck and shoulders are sore and stiff. I will be contacting my insurance co tomorrow to see if I should get x rays and see a doctor here, or wait till I get back to Alberta.
Cheers,
Mike Nikolai

good to hear from you Mike, glad you made it out there ok. I'd go to the doc ASAP, the sooner you go the better usually, for insurance and everything

what exactly is a mullet car haha, here in Sparwood all we have is "Big Dick Trucks" or "Homosapien Half Tons" as my uncle likes to call them haha. They can be fun at times just old trucks with like huge lift kits and massive tires and stuff. They are awsome to go offroading in till you get stuck haha.

mullet cars are muscle cars, cause most of the slobs that drive them wear mullets.
sounds like your having a pretty decent time Mike, aside from the pain and what not.

Hi Sentara,
Cruise night was alot of fun as it is advertized in the radio and in the papers. This happens every Sunday night.
Basically anyone that has a nice car will go to the Pony Coral, and there is another restaraunt too, and or one of the parks (I can not remember which one). Afterwards they cruise down mainstreet (Portage I believe) and show off their cars. There are literally people and watchers lining up on the sidewalks with their lawn chairs for blocks, upon blocks, upon blocks to watch the cars drive by. It is 100% Legal. My cousin and I showed up around 8:30 (normally starts around 9:00 pm ish) and I estimated that there were around 1,000 people watching and lined up to watch the cars drive by. This does not include people that were driving their cars.
The people that drive down Portage have rare, restored, original cars of all eras, and makes. It was nuts! You have alot of imports, American Iron, Old school Hot Rods, original real old cars just driving up and down real slow. It essentially makes our 780 Tuners meets look non existant. I guess what could be equivilant would be to drive down Whyte around prime time, but only have people sitting on the sidewalks and filling them up completely watching cars go by.
It was as if it was one giant rolling car show.

That is nuts!! Man, I never would have guessed something of that kind going on in Winnipeg. I wonder why it's such a big thing? Or better yet, I wonder how it originated?
Keep rolling Mike.
