Hi everyone,

Just a quick note to say thank you for everyone whom is supporting our sponsers and supporters. They really appreciate our business and enjoy dealing with the club and the club members.

There is an issue I need to address with the club. It has come to my attention that one of our sponsors/ supporters has had a problem with one of our members recently. The member has not been identified as of yet and the member and the problem will remain anonymous.

Please treat all our our sponsors and supporters with respect. The way inwhich one acts when dealing with a sponsor and supporter reflects not only upon the member, but the club as well. Our sponsors and supporters do not need to give us discounts but they do it as a courtisy for the club. We need to show the same courtisy in return. It has been agreed that when dealing with one of the sponsors or members via telephone we are to identify ourselves as a Supra Club member and disclose our member number. The sponsors and supporters have a list of current members and will be able to identify you from that list. Also in dealing with them, it has been agreed that we will show them our member card first. They know what our member cards now look like. If we are unable to identify ourselves as supraclub members we will then reveive regular pricing on all the items and quotes.

So at the end of the day we just need to show some common sense, courtisy and respect and they inturn will do the same.

On a more positive note our sponsors and supporters are extremely interested in our events and even just showing up to support the club at our functions weither it be personally or by representing the company.

Thank you for your time and co-operation.

Mike Nikolai

Mike,

This is an issue that needs to be addressed now.

One of the reasons to create this club was to develop some respectability for the Supra Owners in Edmonton. Currently the overall impression I get from people is that we are looked at as “Snot nosed kids with the noisy cars who always want something for nothing”. I hope we can change this over time. It is important for our club members to present ourselves in the best possible light.

If a member in good standing has an issue with one of our sponsor/supporters please let Mike or myself know so that we me assist with resolution. I don’t want to be perceived as trying to play big brother and fighting your battles for you, but sometimes it takes an older face to get communication going in a direction that will work for both parties.

From the other perspective if a member continually has issues with suppliers/sponsors we may have to review that members standing within the club.

When you present yourself as a club member to anyone, you also represent all of us.

If you have any comments in relation to this issue please email or pm me.
