Hey everyone, I was looking for some supras for sale for my friend...I would have bought a better and newer turbo one if I had the money but he does and has no car so I mentioned to him about supras....he likes.lol...so I find a white 86.5 mk3 for sale for 1400, AUTO, power everything...non-turbo 7mge, with a pretty low 189,xxx kms. The only thing wrong with it is that he told me that when the car gets to good running temp and let’s say you go to 711 or something and come back and start it again it wont want to start for like 5 min...he doesn’t know what the problem is, so that why he’s selling it, anyways when I went to see it I started it and the first thing that came out the exhaust is a big puff of white smoke and did that for like 1 min ...he told me it did that because its been sitting there for 1 month...so as its running ...2 min later (still hasn’t warmed up) it turns off for no reason at all!....so I try to start it back up again and take like 10 sec of cranking and get going...after that I let it idle for a bit and then I press the gas, like tap on it and take the revs up higher...the dam car like struggles and then gets up..like its choking or sumtin...he says he changed the fuel filter, so that’s not it....my best guess is that its the fuel pump...and anyone can tell me what the white smoke was also, and any guesses on the problem of the car....thanks. also with the body condition, it was pretty rusted on the top or every fender and that about it.

well take a whiff of the smoke, if it smells sweet thats a sign of BHG, or it could be a coolant leak. if its its having trouble staying running, I'd check out the alternator..
theres a lot of possible problems, kind of hard to say without taking a look at it.

well the white puff can just be cuz it was cold, my car does it and its not a headgasket.

unless your friend knows about cars or learns quick then he should buy a different car. go find a newer one or something.

yeah, i doubt it's BHG, it's ok to have white smoke on start up.....kinda lol
and maybe someting wrong with his ignition....crappy spark.....crappy running....
