Hmmm... I'm going to have to check finances, since I need a different car anyway.

You'll love the car if you can fix the potential gasket problem.

I think I use to own this car. Had it for two weeks. Was going to use parts on it for my other cressida I have since sold.

Sounds about right. I picked it up about 2 years ago from the southside. The person who had it had a rust free white Cressida & they did want to use it for parts. I have used it a lot & done a lot with it. If this gasket problem gets fixed it should once again be a smooth ride.

Yeah that was me. My kid still bugs me about that car to this day. If I remember right it has just about every option.

Well, what I really need is an economical "winter" car, not necessarily something that I'm going to be thinking about a 7M-GTE or 1JZ-GTE swap into. :) (Though I think that a 1JZ in that would be sweet...) Still, the price is good.

Correct about the options, it is only missing the leather interior. Everything else appears to be there.

Decent price. I have two of them. They are nice cars if you take care of the bhg situation. I put ARP's and a OEM headgasket in the one I've had for a year and a half. Seems to be fine, even with close to 300k on it.

Yeah... I think about everything else on the car has been replaced w/ either new or used parts. Now I need someone interested in fixing this problem. I think I've had enough w/ this car. Trying to find a still new 2009 Corolla probably. Something a little more fuel efficient.

Your rough idle and startup is probably related to the Idle Control Valve off your throttle body. I have the same issue, I'm just to lazy to clean it out properly. All the EGT crap gets thrown back into the throttle body and ICV. Good luck with sale.

EGT? You mean EGR? The EGR system should go into the back of the intake manifold, a reasonable distance away from the TB and ISC.

Yes, I meant EGR. It makes the whole intake manifold get gummed up inside, even the ISV.

It's the soot from the EGR combined with oil from the PCV system. Solution is to remove both.

Is this still available? Does it need to be towed?

huntsean

Still available. I would recommend a tow as it would probably overheat in 5 minutes or so.
