Question-
OK, every '82- '85 owner knows about the bulging, writhing, ugly molding with a life of its own that Toyota stuck VERY prominently on the sides of our cars. SO, has anyone found a decent replacement that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, but still looks good?

Tip-
For the rocker molding, I've seen the Mark I Supra molding used on a Mark II. It's a stainless steel molding that does not corrode. I've seen them left with the natural shiny finish, the chromey look actually looks pretty good. For my car I painted them with black rockguard paint, they look great and WON"T rust!

hmmm, might have to look into the rocker trim :D

as for the mouldings, people on celicasupra.com have found options, but since i stripped mine i never really studied them too closely.

my black car has aftermarket mouldings on it, and they look quite different than stock, but from a few feet away not many people notice.

Any idea of brands or suppliers? I'm sure a body shop supplier could find something acceptable, but I'd like to be informed when I ask them.
