Meet before DTP on July 9th?

Hey guys!

I feel like such a thread whore for starting yet another thread about our next meet, but I feel that enough people have expressed interest in going to DTP that we should try and go as a group. I am starting this thread basically to hash out the specifics. When should we meet? Where should we meet? ETC.

I think that it seems like later in the day would be a better idea b/c then the guys will be back from Calgary, we'll still have plenty of time to see the show, and if we want we could go for a cruise after. I'm not sure where we should meet, but I thought it would be a cool idea to go down to the show as a pack.

Alternately, we can go earlier in the day and BBQ it up afterwards, but like I said, I would personally like to see the guys get back from Calgary.

With that, I open the floor to your guys ideas!

well, as far as parking and meeting up, depending how many guys are going, i live about 3 blocks from northlands.
ive got 2 hour parking limits, but they arent heavily enforced.
unfortunately, i dont have any room on my driveway, due to a supra infestation.

other than that i would recommend meeting in the old safeway at 66th street, then convoying to northlands and parking on grounds.
paying for parking sucks, but its a fairly secure site and easy to park a large group of cars together.

I'm leaving tomorrow early in the morning, and won't be back until DTP, so I will be totally out of touch. I will see if I can check my e-mail on Wednesday, but if not, I will be checking my e-mail on day of, but mark my words: I will be there! If anyone wants to leave a message on my cell (second phone number on the master list) to let me know what's up, I'd appreciate it, but other than that, I'll check my e-mail. See you guys there!

this is going to be quite a weekend, Barry and I are renting a Ford Exploder or something, so we'll drive to calgary where I'll be selling my 7m-ge and buying my 6m-gte
then assuming we get home in time we'll head right in to DTP, which the two of us can get into for free because apparently I was one of the winners of a photochop contest lol

well I vote after, in calgary rollout was about 11pm, so we could all meet around the back of the place, or just outside the parking lot or something around that time.

OK so it looks like we will hook up after roll out. Who has walkie talkies? The good ones with range. I am going to buy some today it makes cruzing as a pack easier with out rocking up the cell bill and we can use them at the show to find people. Some body who has them tell me if this will work & what channel we should use.

I will be at the show but not sure what time I'll show up but I plan on being there for most of it.

me and barry have FRS radios, they work nicely, range of a km or 2 iirc, enough for a cruise.

Hey guys!

I am proud to announce my triumphant return to the forum for the limited time of today only, and then back up to "no-internet land". I will be at the show at 6:00pm, but I'm not sure if I'll stay to cruise b/c I need to head back up tonight and I don't want to be up too late, as I wake up uber-early tomorrow. Anyhow, if anyone wants to get ahold of me while I'm at the show, just give me a call on my cell, which is the second number listed for me on the members list (I'll give you a hint, it starts with 964). If anyone is planning on going to the show at around the same time, let me know and we can head there together. I'll see what I can do about the whole radio thing.
