Anybody up for lunch @ BP's? I know this is kinda short notice, but its just lunch! And I wouldn't mind meeting some of the newer Calgary members. There seem to be quite a few joining up recently.

P.S. Supra's are not required (it is winter afterall)

ill be there with bells on, i live 5 minutes from there walking distance, living on red mile pwns, save the supra being broken into. this is great, im hoping we can star getting gatherings going in calgary more often

here are the directions (starting southbound hwy 2):
turn right (westbound) onto memorial drive
when nearing downtown merge right onto the 4th ave fly-over
if you hit a set of lights you have gone too far. there will be a set immediatly after that turn left there and it will lead you to 4th ave
turn left at 1st st. SE (macleod trail southbound)
turn right (westbound) at 17th ave.
10 blocks down on the right hand side


Oh, and Glenn, are you going to have space for a W58 and some injectors in your car?? :D:D

unless there is construction, memorial to 14th st sw, then east down 17th ave sw.

avoid the downtown core and save yourself the trouble of driving with all those inbred rednecks. :)

dude, take memorial to 14th, turn onto 16th, approach 17th from the back and get easy parking, good luck finding parking on 17th if the small lots are full, which they normally are, but sunday might be easier in that respect, inbred rednecks? do you mean all the edmonton people that conciously moved to calgary for some odd reason? he he he

no, the rednecks that Dogstar's referring to are the local calgary breed, they are much worse than the edmonton breed.

doesn't much matter though, i am not going to be attending. I still have too much stuff to do so that i can finish my shelves and get them into place.

dude, im from calgary and so are several people on this forum, you really have no clue who the rednecks are in this city, calgary is more white color the edmonton is right now and we can still embrace the roots that built this city come july.

im not going to start an argument, but we really dont need a calgary vs edmonton bitchfest, each city has its own strengthes and weaknesses, but its foolhardy at this point to call calgary a redneck town, at least not anymore

ha ha, my bad, its just when you deal with as many calgary-haters as i do, which just so happen to be people who moved here from wherever, your sometimes on guard for no reason when people make comments.

i just dont spend enough time on this forum too see how people make there jokes, im usually on supraforums.

hope to see you all at the lunch, hope the snow isnt to bad for travelling, but the weathernetwork says 5-10 cms by the end of monday, yeeesh, im looking forward to the 5-6 degrees in the comings days after that.

EDIT:

we had 4 people out to the lunch, Andrew, Keegan and Jeremy plus his buddy and me. it was a decent time, lets try to organize another with more people next time, the nice thing is that most people with supras in this city are all in a similar age group, so i dont see why people who were to come wouldnt get along. thanks to supra soul for organizing this. hopefully we can get things like BBQ's and cruises going with larger groups once the weather is nice in the coming months.

Funny thing, two minutes after I left the parking lot I drove past a white celica coupe on 11th, and then saw a white mk2 on 16th NW. We'll have to do this again next month. Cheers
