boosting problem

hey i have a mk3 turbo and i have a APEXi electronic boost controller in it, i was playing around with it and i can set the boost high as i want, but the most it will actually boost is 0.46kg/cm(7.5psi) i can set the boost lower and that works, just not when i try and increase the boost. has anyone had this problem or know how to fix it?

Howdy and welcome.
That boost level is just about stock level so im thinking the boost controller is not working or is it possible it is hooked up backwards? Had a similar problem with mine but then mine is a manual one.

I bet the solenoid is hooked up wrong. You have 3 connections on it for hoses right? How is it hooked up.

Not sure how APEXI labels theirs, but with Greddy ones, it should be COM - wastegate, NO - manifold, NC - Open to asmosphere. Atleast, that's how you set it up for a single connection wastegate.
