if you want to use your DP then you will need to get your turbo rebuilt/trimmed or use an aftermarket direct fit like the SP61 or similar. a trimmed/aftermarket turbo should be good for a lot more power and still use all the parts you currently have.

Agreed. Getting your stock turbo upgraded will easily allow you to make 350rwhp. A 60-1 upgrade on the stock turbo can net in the area of 400rwhp or more. Look into sending it to a shop to get the upgrade done. It'll probably run you in between $750-$1000

The Diesel turbos are massive and are designed for diesel engines that have displacements in the area of 6.0L-7.3L. You probably don't want one of those on your car even if you could fit them.

That's my 2 cents anyhow.

Tim

some of the smaller diesel turbos have been used on cars, for example, sport compact car did a write-up on a nissan 240sx running a holset hx35 (iirc) but they definitely dont seem like the best solution.

an SP61 seems to be a very viable option.

I would contact sound performance directly for their SP61. That way you can talk to a trained professional about your needs and make sure it's right for you. Their website is www.soundperformance.com (http://www.soundperformance.com)

The upgraded CT-26 can be performed by Performance Techniques (formerly turbonetics?...) at http://64.225.76.178/main.htm . You will find it on their page. I believe it goes for about $750 to upgrade the turbo and they require a core exchange or else you pay more. This is the route I would lean towards because it is a little less of a jump than the SP61 but, again, it'll depend on your needs. You can talk to a professional their about what would be best for you as well.

Cheers,

Tim

EDIT: I found the real turbonetics at www.turboneticsinc.com, but I don't know if they do the upgrade.

I think I'm obligated to ask, what are your other modifications done? I want to know if you have th supporting mods done to get one of these turbos.

Let us know.

Cheers,

Tim

The only thing I see missing is an upgraded fuel pump, otherwise it looks like you're good for either.

Cheers,

Tim
