Hello Everyone!
I am proud to announce the first annual Countryside Cruise. I say first annual because it could happen again if everyone has a good time, but it's mostly ad-hoc.
What: The 1st Annual Countryside Cruise
Where: The "Countryside", and then BBQ at my parents' house
When: 2pm-Whenever, Saturday September 9, 2006
Who: Supraclub members
Map Here: http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?formtype=address&addtohistory=&address=Hoppe%20Drive&city=Sherwood%20Park&state=AB&zipcode=T8G&country=CA&geodiff=1
Specifics: I was thinking about having everyone over to my parents' house earlier this summer and I finally decided to do it. My parents' house is a little ways outside of Edmonton so it should make for a nice, scenic drive while still being warm enough for us to hang out outside and drive with the top down. I'm looking at getting my engine pulled while everyone is over (I guess that's the catch...) so I would appreciate people bringing some tools (I'll talk to people individually). I'm thinking of having the BBQ at my parents' place potluck style, so I'd like everyone to bring a food item. If you want to have a beer or two , please bring your own and I'll provide a place to keep it cold. I'll also provide some non-alcoholic beverages. If there are any questions, please post in this thread. If you are going to come, please RSVP in this thread and post what you'll bring for a food item. I'll compile confirmed attendees and food items in this post at the bottom.
I'd like everyone who can to come out so we can have a good time and maybe get some club pictures taken.
I hope to see everyone there!
Cheers,
Tim

Hello Everyone!
I've been keeping quiet about this lately, but now that the fantastic weekend we just had is over and the dyno day and show and shine are finished, I wanted to remind everyone to please confirm in this thread if you are going to be coming on the countryside cruise and BBQ at my parents' house. It's important that everyone confirm soon so that everyone knows how much food to bring.
I look forward to seeing everyone there! It should be a great event!
Cheers,
Tim

If you have a look at the first post, there's a list of confirmed attendees and what they're bringing. We don't really have any desserts yet, nor hot dogs/ burgers/condiments. Those are a couple of things off of the top of my head, but it doesn't need to be a BBQ if we just want to have other types of food. We can heat up the stove and throw something in it if necessary.
Less than a week left people! Please confirm as soon as possible so we know how much food we need. Even if you will be late, let me know so I can add you to the list with a note that says how late you'll be.
Cheers,
Tim

Yay!
Site is finally back up! So I guess I'm expecting everyone to get there tomorrow around 3-4pm (Yes, I know that it says start is 2pm, but I don't expect anyone that early).
Here are specific directions: Go eastbound on the Yellowhead or the Whitemud. Either way, turn south on Highway 16 (#?) towards wainright (that's what all the signs say) and go south until the road bends toward the east and becomes highway 14. Go east on highway 14 (It'll turn from a divided highway into a single highway) until you see RR 204 come up on your right (south). Turn right (south) on RR 204 and drive south until you come to a 4-way stop that is intersected by TWP.RD. 510. Go east (turn left) on TWP.RD. 510 and you'll be on a gravel winding road. Go for about two minutes until you see "Hoppe Drive" on your left (north). Turn on Hoppe Drive (please drive slowly, there are young children around) and we are the big brown house at the end of the subdivision. Please park your car in the circle at the bottom.
If there are any problems of any sort getting to the event (ie. you're lost), or if you just need to talk to me about it, please call me at 964-8467.
See everyone tomorrow!
Cheers,
Tim
EDIT: If you guys want to meet in one place and cruise out together, that's up to you to organize.

Yea so it looks like i missed another event due to drinking. I slept all day yesterday hungover and then went to ookfest at like 7. Saw a yellow supra there from the club and parked beside it but it was still there when i left. I just got internet back today as well so i have been lost for the past couple weeks. Anyways i am back now and Tim if you got that exhaust figured out i am still interesed in getting a look at it.

Shawn,
that's brutal man. We're going to have to have an intervention with you and then maybe after we can all go out drinking.
Thanks for everyone that came out. It took way longer to pull the engine than I thought it would, in part due to some unpreparedness on my part, but I think that everyone had a good time (except for Anthony maybe  ). I have pics but I won't be able to post them up until I have some free time (RE: Winter break).
I recommend us doing this again next year, but maybe we won't pull an engine because of how long it took... and I'm running out of cars that need engines pulled... (just one more).
Cheers,
Tim

I made that comment based on news that you may have received a speeding ticket right after leaving my place, is this not the case?
Tim
P.S. I'm sure I have extra temp sensors laying around somewhere... which one are you looking for?
